LEAP Initial consult:
At this 30 minute phone consult, we’ll review your symptoms and health history to determine whether or not LEAP is likely to help you. If so, you’ll be provided with a recommended course of action that may include MRT testing, nutrition counseling, and implementation of the LEAP program.
Medical Nutrition Therapy and Counseling for Diabetes and/or Weight Management:
Initial session:
Food, lifestyle, nutrition, and learning needs assessment. From this we can develop a course of action in order to fulfill your education needs as well as normalizing your weight or blood sugars during the course of our work together so I may send you back to your doctor with a much-improved weight and/or lab status for your next routine visit.
Initial nutrition assessment (60 minutes) – $95
Follow-up sessions:
Discovery of effects of food, exercise, and other factors on weight and/or blood sugars, weekly meal planning and goal setting, nutrition education, dietary supplements, and evaluation of any pertinent lab results. After your educational and short-term weight management and/or diabetes goals are achieved, you may follow-up as needed monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or yearly at you and your doctor’s discretion.
Education/Therapy follow-ups (30 minutes) – $50
E-mail Follow-up Package (unlimited weekly e-mails to report food diaries and participate in Q&A with dietitian, will respond within 24 hours of each e-mail. Cancel at any time.) – $25/week
Nutrition Start-up Package discounted (Initial hour consult plus 3 half hour follow-ups) – $195
Insurance
Some insurance companies cover nutrition counseling but many do not. If you have a Flexible Spending Account, (FSA), nutrition counseling is eligible for reimbursement, and you will be provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance company.
